Brown's Peak

Since Pat is studying for the bar and I am in school we both need a stress release. It seems hiking has become that release. Carol (Pat's Mom) offered to watch Anthony on her day off so we go on a date...we took her up on her offer and went hiking! It was quite a date :) We took Adrian because I am his food source and we also took Dash because Pat wants to train him to be a good hiking dog. Dash was a great hiker. He didn't chase the lizards and stayed between Pat and I the whole time. Though it took him a little while to figure out his water dish :)

The hike we did was Brown's Peak - one of the four peaks in four peak wilderness. It was only about 1 3/4 miles to the saddle. We stopped at the saddle for lunch. The view was awesome.

These are the four peaksSaguaro Lake and I think that is Payson in the distance
This is Brown's Peak
Here is a close up. You better believe we are crazy enough to climb straight up!
Only our camelback leaked half the water out while we were eating so we had to turn around because we wouldn't of had enough water. Maybe next time we'll do the crazy climb :)
On the way down I realized we didn't take any pictures of us hiking, so we stopped to take a couple of shots...

Dash forgot how to jump over the log. He stood there forever! It took several calls to get him excited enough to jump.
This a view of the peaks on the drive out. If you blow up the picture you can see the crazy 18 mile dirt road we had to drive on to get there!
