Extended Birthday

I've read that one way to ease the transition of a new sibling is to give your child a gift. Whether or not this is a good theory, it is my excuse for forgetting to give Anthony his birthday presents from my family :) So while my mom was in town we gave Anthony a mini birthday party.

Great-Grandmommy sent Anthony a cd called 'Anthony and the Dinosaur'. It is a cd of children's songs with Anthony's name in them. It is neat to watch Anthony dance to music then stop and look around when he hears his name :)

Pat and I got Anthony a Cars (the Disney movie) shaving kit. Here I am teaching Anthony how to shave...hehe. The electric shaver is actually a water gun and the shaving cream is just bath foam. Anthony loves to use the shaver and squirt water at the wall, the floor and of course me.

Aunt Nichole sent Anthony a box of goodies. First Anthony opened up a little Potato Head. It only has like 4-5 big pieces so it is completely safe for Anthony to play with. At first Anthony didn't know what to do with it.

But after Dad and Mom showed him how to dress the potato, Anthony got the idea....Okay so the eyes are where the hat is supposed to go, but at least the lips are in the right place :P

Aunt Nichole also sent Anthony a cute adventure outfit and Lightening McQueen socks! Anthony yelled "sock! sock! on!" until we put the socks on. Anthony didn't take the socks off two days and threw a fit when I tried to put his shoes on. Anthony just walked around strutting his stuff and pointing to his feet saying "Car...Look mommy Car"
