July 2011

July 2:

Where is Chico?  Chico is hiding from his bath in the fort the kids made.....

July 3-5:
Waiting to go in...Meagan "lost" the camera in the car (aka her overfilled purse) so we had to wait a little while until she found it.

Goofiness before we head down...

The Caverns

Ariana has found something else more interseting....

Jessica

"oooooh!"

This picture didn't come out very well, but it still a cute one of Patrick and his Grandpa and Ariana trying to wrestle free.

I see you!

Anthony and Ariana making good use of the little stone wall

Meagan , Ariana, and Carol

Grandpa Lopez

This was like a little forest of coral

You can guess what everyone thought of this one

And this one

A little tunnel...too bad we can't cross under it.

Jessica was Adrian's buddy the whole time.  Thanks Jess!

So long Carlsbad Caverns

Patrick's Family:
Adrian, Patrick, Jessica (sister), Carol (his mom), Nemecio (his Grandpa) and Anthony

July 12:
Meagan's new sun glasses (love Zennioptical.com!) and new red shoes

July 16:

Meagan's friend Amy took us to the zoo!  My kids had so much fun with Amy and I enjoyed Amy keeping them entertained :)

On the way to the tortoises. the boys got distracted and REALLY excited about the digger.

We got the tortoises just in time to catch them eating!  I love their little mouths.  They eat pretty fast for slow creatures.

The boys enjoyed the feasting tortoises, too.

Ariana wasn't as excited so she took a nap.

But, Ariana woke up just in time to watch the fire department hose off the elephants.

Thanks for taking us to the zoom Amy!  We had so much fun!

July 16:
My boys sporting shades

Aunt Jessica came over for dinner.  Ariana loves her Aunt Jessica.

July 18:
Beautiful sunset on my way home.

July 23-24:
We went camping and are planning to hike to the Natural Bridge tomorrow.  Before it is time to cook dinner the boys (that includes Patrick) are racing their cars in the dirt

Ariana had fun playing with pine cones in the dirt.  Looks like she might have eaten some of it...

Boys, dirt and cars...doesn't get much better than that

Girls love dirt and cars too

Patrick and Ariana

The boys found a pole and stated chasing Patrick with it.  Run baby, RUN!

We camped by this cool bush

Ninja Adrian

Ariana found a little doll whose head had come off. She spent a long time trying to get it to fit.  When she finally gave up, she just carried around the head :) LOL!

Hiking our way to the Natural Bridge

Almost there

The Natural Bridge

Yup, we are crazy enough to cross the river through all that

Wasn't expecting a waterfall.  That made is very wet, a little tricky and totaling scary crossing with our kids.

The boys made it one piece and Anthony is mesmerized by the Waterfall

Yeah we crossed that

The Waterfall

On the way out there was a wooden bridge we had to cross.  The boys love stomping and jumpign across

I have decided we need to take more pictures of us together.

I think Ariana is done being in the carrier

View of the bridge on the way out.

July 28:
I came home from work and Anthony had made me this cute "Mommy I Love you" sign.  Too precious, Thank-you babe!

July 29-31:
The last weekend in July we went camping at Zions.  It was a long drive, but at least Ariana is still happy toward the end.

Welcome to Zions!  We survived the long drive and there's a beautiful stormy sky welcoming us!

We went hiking around the camp grounds and ended up at the visitor center.  This is biggest dream catcher I have ever seen

Our Darth Vader tent

Meagan and Anthony

Meagan                                                                                 Anthony took a picture of himself

Patrick                                                                             Adrian

Precious Princess asleep in the carrier on the bus

We spotted lots of butterflies on our hike

We made it!  So gorgeous and so wet!

Meagan and Patrick

Anthony really enjoyed all the rock climbing while Adrian was content with the railings

Muddy puddles

Finished product?  Muddy and Happy Boys

As if splashing in mud wasn't fun enough we got to play in the river.  Adrian didn't like his shorts being wet so he tried several times to take his shorts and underwear off...yeah public nudity at its best.

Views from the bus

Adrian fell asleep on the bus

The whole crevice is dripping with water

Patrick finishing the climb up

Beautiful views

Beautiful plants growing on the top and side of the mountain

Ariana enjoyed the puddles

Adrian's still alseep

Looks like we are going to be camping in the rain our last night at Zions.

When we woke up in the morning we had a stow away on our tent :)

Good Bye Zions Park!
